Thank you for your interest in learning more about the Society for Human Resource Management of Greater Tucson (SHRM-GT).

Founded in the 1940’s as the Tucson Personnel Club to meet the professional needs of personnel administrators in Southern Arizona. The club expanded in 1971 and became affiliated with the American Society for Personnel Administration. In 1983 the name was changed to the Tucson Personnel Association and in 1989 was known as the Society for Human Resource Management of Greater Tucson (SHRM-GT) which firmly aligned the group with the national organization.

Today SHRM-GT has over 325 members and is one of more than 485 professional chapters nationwide affiliated with the Society of Human Resource Management.

SHRM-GT is the leading voice of the human resources profession in Southern Arizona and this chapter has distinguished itself by receiving several Superior Merit awards from SHRM national. SHRM-GT consistently strives to provide superior benefits to the membership.
